We figured out in class that there could be a few key issues behind chappatte's cartoon, here are three of them:
- Could the internet be a threat spread of culture or convorsely foster it ?
- Is the younger generation really aware of the illegal practices on the internet when it comes to culture
- Does the internet epitomize the idea of progress or can we argue that it also shows its limits.
We can truly say that Chappatte is an excellent cartoonist as he showed all these issues with only one cartoon, and 9 words. Chappatte used humor and irony through the young man, irony is the best weapon as everybody understands it although it doesn't say things directly. He also used the Cannes festival event as everyone knows the festival and it can touch every reader/viewer.
